Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Axentriq Software Ltd uses cookies and similar storage technologies on axentriq.co.uk. "Cookies" are small text files stored on your device; "similar technologies" include browser storage such as localStorage and any other method of storing information on, or gaining access to information already stored on, your device. In the UK these are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), which require consent for any non-essential storage or access, and by the UK GDPR where any personal data is involved.

The short version: this site barely uses cookies. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data more generally.

2. Our approach

We take a privacy-first approach to this website:

  • We set no advertising, marketing, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • We do not sell or share device data with ad networks or data brokers.
  • We show no cookie consent banner, because we place no non-essential storage on your device and access nothing on it that requires your consent.

Because there is nothing non-essential to consent to, there is nothing for you to accept or reject.

3. Analytics — Plausible

We use Plausible for privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics. Plausible is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It collects no personal data and does not track you across sites or over time. Where it needs to count unique visits within a day, it derives a non-persisted, daily-rotating hash that cannot be used to identify or re-identify you and is discarded each day.

Because Plausible neither stores information on, nor gains access to information already stored on, your device, it falls outside the scope of PECR Regulation 6 and requires no consent.

4. Strictly necessary and functional storage

If you switch this site between light and dark mode, your choice is remembered using browser localStorage (via next-themes). This is a functional, strictly-necessary item that exists solely to deliver a feature you have requested, holds only a simple preference (no personal data), and is therefore exempt from the PECR consent requirement. We disclose it here for transparency. On a first visit, before you change the theme, the site stores nothing on your device at all.

We set no other functional or strictly-necessary cookies.

5. What we currently set

We currently set no non-essential cookies. The only item this site may place on your device is the functional theme preference described above:

If this table changes, we will update it here.

6. Third-party embeds

This site does not currently embed third-party content such as YouTube videos, Calendly scheduling, or interactive maps. If we add such embeds in future, they may set their own cookies or access storage on your device. In that case we would obtain your consent first and introduce an appropriate consent mechanism (a cookie banner), and we will update this policy before doing so.

7. Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies and clear browser storage through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or restrict them. Because we set nothing non-essential, there is nothing here for you to opt out of. Note that clearing your browser storage will reset your saved light/dark mode preference. Guidance for common browsers is available from your browser provider's help pages.

Storage and access on your device are governed by PECR; any processing of personal data that results is governed by the UK GDPR. For the limited functional storage we use, our lawful basis under the UK GDPR is our legitimate interests in delivering a working website, and the storage is exempt from PECR consent as strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested.

The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 introduced new PECR exemptions for low-risk analytics from February 2026; however, we rely on our analytics being out of scope of PECR altogether (because Plausible stores and accesses nothing on your device) rather than on those exemptions.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. If you have any questions about our use of cookies, contact us at hello@axentriq.co.uk or write to Axentriq Software Ltd, 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
